Was recruited by senior management to return to this company in the position of Casting Superintendent in order to focus on improving the throughput of the department while still being able to pursue my personal ventures. After a few short months based on the casting departments successes, I was offered the position of Hot End Manager overseeing all aspects of the Melt, Casting, and Cold Mill operations. In 2017 I was offered the position of Caster Technical Manager. This positions main focus was to support casting efforts on training, supporting the casting and engineering managers with developing process improvements.
Reason for leaving: Felt that at this time the company was in the position of success. I was wanting to pursue other ventures that could be as rewarding.
1999 to 2009 ChasMan Concrete Repair & Resurfacing
Self Employed
Startup venture of own company in the growing Decorative Concrete Field. I was responsible for all aspects of operating this venture. Safety, scheduling, advertising, etc.
Reason for leaving: Liquidated the company in order to focus full attention to the Hot End Manager position.
1984 to 1999 Golden Aluminum Company

Employed as an entry level Technician in the continues casting department and was responsible for operating a hot rolling mill. 1985 was promoted to Technician II responsible for all aspects of the hot rolling mill. 1986 was promoted to Shift Lead with the responsibility of the shifts productions goals, quality controls, workers training. Reported directly to the Shift Supervisor. In 1988 was promoted to Shift Supervisor with responsibilities including safety, production scheduling, generating daily shift reports, employee scheduling/coverages, and maintenance scheduling. 1996 accepted the position of Casting/Hot Mill Superintendent. Over saw all aspects of the casting department. Worked with scheduling planner on current and future production needs. Worked with other department Superintendents on scheduling plant resources to accomplish these goals. Was responsible for reviewing all supervisor safety and employee action reports and taking necessary actions when warranted. Worked with the ISO training administrator and Safety Manager to develop procedures and then making sure the department was adhering to the established policies. Reason for leaving: Did not see any opportunities to advance myself with the company and sought an opportunity in another growing field.
1981 to 1984 City of Dacono
Dacono, CO
Hired in the position of Street Maintenance Worker. Oversaw all aspects of street maintenance including asphalt and concrete projects. Worked directly with the City Manager and Board Members on upcoming maintenance projects and scheduling. Was also responsible for all equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance. Reason for leaving: There was no room for advancement and sought an opportunity to work for a startup company in the aluminum industry.
