• Developed communication plans to enhance the effectiveness of internal communications among faculty members, the Department Chair, and senior leaders in the Department of Institutional Assessment and Research with the goal of marketing English courses strategically to undergraduate students. This information supported departmental SACSCOC accreditation efforts and enhanced the efficiency, effectiveness, and student-centeredness of courses that bolstered the professional development of over 1000 students per academic year. My contributions helped to transform the education and organizational model of the English Department by clarifying the direction of the department’s student learning outcomes; verifying alignment of course designs, objectives, and assignments; and reinforcing commitment of all stakeholders to student success while it increased the enrollment of students in major level courses by 30%. • Co-Created and launched a multiple award-winning, social entrepreneurial, undergraduate course and internship pipeline with the not-for-profit Men Stopping Violence, Inc. to address male intimate partner violence.

• Developed training plan and curriculum based on the 4MAT 4Business learning model along with a training guide which integrated lessons, practical exercises, and theory to teach a community engaged-learning course and internship opportunity while training undergraduates and adult learners as fundraising, community organizing, and social media interns.

• Produced Train-the-Trainer materials to prepare future instructors to teach in the pipeline and co-developed Emory-MSV scholarship ($5000) to enhance succession planning by attracting doctoral candidates to serve as trainers.

• Collaborated with fundraising interns and obtained a donation from Salesforce of ten lifetime licenses for their flagship Customer Relationship Management Software. This donation has increased MSV’s revenue by ~$15,000-$20,000 annually. Facebook page “likes” increased by 50% and constituent interaction has more than doubled. MSV enhanced its visibility in Atlanta, nationally, and beyond.

• Student evaluations noted that over 95% of participants enhanced their ability to recognize toxic relationships which lead to intimate partner violence and students reported significant confidence in their capacity to serve as allies.

• Organized workshops and trained adult learners while interrogating sexual assault at Emory and raised ~$6000 for events.

• Honored with the Dr. Herman L. Reese Community Service Award in Education (2013): This award recognized my distinguished teaching, training, and leadership of students and adult learners participating in the Emory-Men Stopping Violence Initiative. • My efforts saved the department ~$100,000 through accurate problem identification and efficient maintenance of systems.

• Employed problem solving skills during flight operations to correct over 120 discrepancies which affected the AN/SPN-46(V)—the ship’s only final approach air-traffic control radar. Resulted in 0 casualties related to radar operations due to team problem solving.

• Documented and analyzed operational patterns of the AN/SPN-46(V) during two six-month deployments to ensure the highest rates of operational readiness. Analyzed the approaches and landings of over 70 aircrafts daily during both peace and wartime through a maintenance management system. Presented updates to upper echelon on systems operations and wrote technical notes and briefs.

My team and I have helped candidates to earn ~$1Mil. in funding based on successful proposals which have helped them solve conceptual problems, enhanced their impact as members of scholarly communities, and reinforced their influence by articulating Purpose.
