Worked directly with outside Engineering Firm to coordinate the donation of an Infrared Spectrometer. Utilized Ocean Insights’ spectrometer and a probe in a conveyor system to characterize different types of plastics by wavelength. Incorporated and programed servo into a designed custom conveyor sorting system which separated materials by wavelength for recycling. Generated 100 pages of report and analysis data and received an A grade. Lead presenter at Ocean Insights HQ (donated Spectrometer) as well as UCF’s Engineering Fair November 2019.
