Duties and Responsibilities;
- Performs all daily inspection and test of the scope and character necessary to achieve the
quality of construction required in the drawings and specifications for all work under
contract.
- Caries out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures in the site and
ensure activity at the site are as per approved method of statement and inspection test
plan.
- Coordinates with the consultants representative and site in-charge for inspection and
meeting about quality problems including the closure of non-compliance report.
- Reports to QA/QC Manager, control, and monitor all activities related to quality.
- Takes care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificate, calibration,
test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction /
observations,permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents. Responsible
for the closure of non-conformance and site instruction.
- Responsible for the quality and workmanship of every activity, thorough knowledge of
all phases of engineering construction relating to civil, architectural and structural
discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary operations.
- Coordinate with independent laboratory for field test and laboratory test for different

- Classify soil samples retrieved from soil samples on site, based on MRDTM and
AASHTO standards.
- Evaluate the suitability of soil samples as aggregates of fill materials for base coarse,
sub base and sub-grade materials.
- Evaluate strength and degree of compaction of compacted fill materials using the sand
cone method.
- Preparation of Asphalt Concrete Mix Designs by SUPERPAVE Method, Performing
extraction, volumetric properties, and evaluation of strength and moisture sensitivity test
for quality control.
- Testing for soil, aggregate, asphalt and concrete.
- Supervise soil and aggregate sampling for material sources. Check the suitability of
retrieved samples as aggregate or filling materials.
- Supervise testing materials used in construction such as concrete, aggregates, asphalt

classification and specifications.

AASTHO standards.

for quality control.
- Maintain quality records such as log book of the work performed, QA/QC weekly
report, internal inspection report.
- Carry out / witness inspections and testing as per plan.
- Raise inspection calls for vendor inspection by client representative & notify to external
/ third party / independent agencies.
- Verification of test results, reporting and recommendation to QA/QC Manager for
necessary actions.
- Conduct testing for soil, aggregates, concrete and asphalt.
- Conduct training for new technician on laboratory testing.
- Making daily reports and monthly reports to be submitted to the consultant for monthly
accomplishment of work in the project.
