Present job profile: - Site Inspector (TPI) @ Dubai Electricity and Water Authority

(DEWA) [February 2017 onwards (Dubai, UAE)]

Conducting daily inspections related to various electrical equipments/systems Material, installation & testing w.r.t RFI receiving from consultants and contractors & assuring compliance with contract specifications & RFC drawings.

Controlling and monitoring day to day site works with consultants & contractors.

Secured adequate knowledge in controlling and monitoring various electrical installation activities related to 132/11KV & 400/33 KV S/S.

Verify the drawing of newly constructing substations and coordinating design & site supervision team for any changes/modifications and verifying field modification requests

(FMR).

Supervising and reporting progress of Substation commissioning activities and managing/negotiating client requirements with contractors & consultants.

Reviewing and approving method statements, shop drawings and ITPs (Inspection test plans).

Conducting material inspections at site to assure compliance with contract specifications and test certificates, design approvals & country of origin.

Identifying nonconforming work/materials & notify contractors, consultants & client by site notes, memo & NCR. Follow up for corrective measures taken by contractors & consultants.

Monitoring and reporting site issues, work quality, HSE policies & potential Hazards.

Arranging site technical coordination meeting, progress meetings, Outage meetings to discuss contractor’s submissions, shop drawings, material submittals, construction related non conformances/deviations & delays.

Carryout final inspections, submission of hand over documents, Operation & maintenance(O&M) manuals Test reports & conducting snag inspections.

Verifying accuracy of As-Built drawings and red markups reflecting in details the As- Built conditions.

Closely monitoring planning schedule & site works and extends maximum possible effort to avoid contractor’s claim for cost or delay.

Review construction documents, highlight any design & contractual discrepancies with RE 2

Managing day to day Electrical Testing & Commissioning activities (Coordinating pre commissioning activities).

Secured knowledge in switchgear site acceptance testing [SAT], witnessing and client sign off.
