Handwritten Digit Recognition Using Deep Learning

(Final year project)

Handwritings are the most common standard and regular medium that human beings use in communicating. It is also an effective and efficient way to record information. This paper aims to develop offline handwritten digit recognition system using DNN (Deep neural network). In the existed system. The DNN used stacked two auto encoder layers and one soft max layer. Recognition accuracy for English digits is 92.7%. : The proposed DNN used convolution neural network and one soft max layer. Recognition accuracy for English digits is 98.52%.
