OBJECTIVE
Prepare measurement uncertainty budgets using MS Excel and create templates for ISO-17025 compliance to the GUM(Guide to Uncertainty of Measurement) for electromechanical equipment. Train other people to use the templates for the calculation of measurement uncertainty for the calibration of electromechanical equipment. Train other personnel in the rudiments of Metrology-the science of measurement.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Utilize MS Excel to create templates for ISO-17025 compliance to the GUM for measurement uncertainty analysis. Create Powerpoint presentation for training materials to teach others how to perform measurement uncertainty analysis for electromechanical calibrations. Recommendations for lab standards to perform calibrations and Data Acquisition Equipment to collect data for analysis.
EXPERIENCE
Dates From-To
1988 to 2000; Metrologist for Southern California Edision in their primary laboratory. Calibrations of force, torque, pressure, flow, light, electrical, and acoustic equipment using Measurement Uncertainty Analysis and GUM. Maintain primary laboratory standards and perform data analysis for equipment drift. Perform on site calibrations of MOVATS(Motor Operated Valve and Automated Testing) at the San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant. Calibration of Automated Battery Banks using Alber 2000 ATE. Calibration of 100kV Circuit Breaker Test Sets at the San Onofre Nuclear Power Station.
Dates From-To
2000 to 2003; Metrology/Quality Engineer BBraun Medical Inc.
Prepare Measurement Uncertainty Budgets for metrology laboratory standard. Maintain accreditation to ISO 17025 compliance and ANSI/Z540 NCSLi compliance. Perform duties of Metrology Database Administrator.
Recommended new equipment for Metrology Laboratory Standards.
Dates From-
2004 to 2009; Metrology Quality Engineer, Abbott Laboratories
Prepare measurement uncertainty budgets for lab standards using proprietary software. Prepare templates for measurement uncertainty analysis for electrical, dimensional, torque, pressure and mechanical calibrations. Maintain metrology laboratory standards and make annual recommendations for the acquisition of new standards. Order new Fluke Data Acquisition equipment for the calibration of temperature sensors.
Perform CAPA analysis for failure analysis of metrology standards.
Dates From-
2010 to 2017; Principal Calibration Engineer Baster Bioscience-LA
Prepare criticality assessment for 100 new production skids involving conductivity, temperature, PH, flow, and mass for the new Baxter LAMP project. Validation protocols finalized in 2013 and plant brought online with FDA approval in 2014. Supported three facilities as Principal Calibration Engineer: Building 1, Building 5 and Building 8. Made recommendations for new metrology standards. Provided training on how to use new metrology standards. All calibrations involved measurement uncertainty budgets and measurement uncertainty analysis to ISO-17025.
2018 to 2020: Quality Engineer/Metrology Engineer Danaher Corp. Nobel Biocare
Prepared Validation Protocols for Dimensional Measuring Equipment and Calibration procedures involving measurement uncertainty analysis. Trained technicians in metrology procedures for the calibration of dimensional equipment. Recommended new metrology standards for calibration.
