Project Title:

Food recognition and calorie extraction using bag-of-surf and spatial pyramid matching method.

Projectg Description :

This method to recognize food and estimate calorie using computer vision algorithms. Specifically,SURF based bag-of-features and spatial pyramid approaches to recognize the food item in this we achieved up to 86% classification rate on a smaller image datasets of six categories and also with larger datasets containing around 111 food items categories and obtained around 18% classification rate.

My Role In My Academic Project:

Contributed myself on calculation side to determine the calories for various food items using formula

Partially involved in matlab coding.
