TITLE:
ProGuard: Identify Malicious Accounts in Social-networks-based online Promotions Events.
DESCRIPTION:
Based Online Promotion Events in Social Networks ProGuard will detect malicious accounts, ProGuard, will accomplish the objective by systematically integrating features that characterize accounts from three perspectives including their general behaviors, their recharging patterns, and the usage of their currency. ProGuard further integrates these features using a statistical classifier so that they can be collectively used to discriminate between those accounts controlled by attackers and begins once.
First attacker do need to generate the malicious content to launch the successful attacks, Second.ly successful attacks do not need to social structures. These two challenges makes the detection of such malicious OSN accounts fundamentally different from the detection of traditional attacks such as spanning and fishing. ProGuard automatically detects malicious accounts that are participating in promotion events.
