Metro Orange Line Train Package-IV, Lahore

The Orange line is the first of the three proposed rail lines proposed for the Lahore Metro. The line will span 27.1 km (16.8 mi) with 25.4 km (15.8 mi) elevated and 1.72 km (1.1 mi) underground. The line will be served by 26 stations and is expected to handle 250,000 passengers daily with a total cost of project $1.6 billion.

Maintaining:

Establish and maintain multiple level schedules, Resource & Cost loaded Schedules and ensure project control mechanisms are in place to monitor performance by application of primavera P6,18.8 software.

Managing Planning Package (Integrated Planning Network, WBS, KPIs, Equipment & Manpower, S- Curve, Reporting, Methodology for Project Controls)

Creation of project master schedule based on BOQ, planning and progressive elaboration, as well as, incorporating Design, drawings approval and procurement process.

Preparation of project total man-hours, craft-wise manpower histogram, and cash flow requirement reflecting project planned earnings and actual performance.

Responsible for effective execution of Project, Prepares the Project Controls plan for assigned projects and Plans staffing needs for assigned projects.

Monitor site progress with reference to related targets by regular updates of project program, highlight and analyze the areas of delays.

Produce S Curve for resource units, labor units and remaining budgeted cost to specify the trend & forecast.

Controlling:

Timely updating & forecasting report related to delay and conveyed to the concerned project team.

Monitoring progress throughout the construction process, comparing actual status with the project schedule baseline and recommend preventive or corrective actions to the senior management.

Check & verify purchase orders from contractors.

Conduct material reconciliation & control wastages.

Carry out document controlling.

Reporting:

Provide weekly, fortnightly & monthly look-ahead schedule to the site constructionmanagers
