I am Brunhilda Izquierdo, an Ecuadorian immigrant, the same one who left her country as a result of the political change that my country had, in my country I was an executive valued by the company in which I worked for 40 years, starting as a simple operator and ending as Human Resources Manager.
In this company, I gained the trust of my bosses and they trusted me to carry out some interesting projects such as the direction of The
"Gelingen" foundation -Generating Beautiful Generations- school-nursery- School for the children of the workers, we had great achievements, my position was Vice Chancellor.
When the opportunity for catalog sales was presented, I requested the change and they gave it to me as director of the development of catalog sales, being the director of this project I managed to make this catalog "Fashion Express" to be one of the most important of the country, in 2003 we had international recognition, receiving an award in Paris for the work we do.
One of the skills I have is working with and for people, a skill that helped me when the company in 2011 was looking for a human resources manager and I requested the change, for me it was a challenge because it implied a job with more responsibility and more observation of details.
When I arrived in this country, the first thing I did was try to increase the language, English, in order to get a job more according to my skills and knowledge.
Then I got a job as a cashier at the Walmart, I've been to a few towns. Orem, Riverton. And now in American Fork, and this change has depended on my address, the reason I have to look for other opportunities is the requirement by my employer of an open schedule, that is, that I have full time availability, which I do not looks attractive. Currently I live in my own home, and I consider that my level of English has increased, and despite the 6 years that I have been out of the executive job market, I sincerely believe that with a little direction I am ready to move up.
I am looking for a solid company, capable of giving me stability, that considers its collaborators and that provides insurance benefits. I don't mind working extended hours when necessary, what I don't like is a schedule that always includes weekends and holidays. Brunhilda M.
