In December 2012 Swinney founded Absolute Certainty Inc http://www.absolutecertaintyinc.com as a vehicle to continue the consulting practices and successes from Hyper Entertainment. ACI continues to advise clients in creative, technical and intellectual property projects. Some of those include or have included:

Lead Advisor – Ports of The World Development – began in 2019 - present, ACI leads the design and development of a water-based theme park in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Construction will begin in 2022.

Lead Advisor - Location-Based Productions – BASE Holograms LLC – in 2017 began organizing and acquiring intellectual property rights to develop museum exhibitions using mixed media that includes holograms, video mapping, augmented reality and artificial intelligence.

Lead Advisor & Interim President – Prototype 81 - In 2016 accepted temporary assignment from Terrell Owens (NFL Hall of Fame) to direct all activities necessary to finalize the development and production of his new athletic/leisure wear fashion line.

Partner – Fashion & Style Events LLC - In 2013, partnered with existing owners of Austin Fashion Week to expand the concept to other cities and to online media. It now operates in Austin, Fashion X Dallas and Fashion X Houston.

President and CEO of Hyper Entertainment, 2000 - 2012: Hyper Entertainment was established in June 2000 following a successful management spin-off from Sony Corporation of America. It established itself globally as the premier independent advisory firm focusing on the conceptualization, development and implementation of mixed-use retail, leisure, entertainment and media solutions in real estate. Hyper offered creative advisory services to real estate developers and municipalities in mixed-use projects, including retail, leisure, restaurants and night clubs, hotels, offices and residential. Between 2001 and 2015, Swinney and Hyper Entertainment have advised 35 clients on various projects and businesses in 27 countries including:

ALDAR Development in Abu Dhabi – developing the initial strategy and recommendations for the Ferrari Theme Park developed on Yas Island as part of a large mixed-use resort.

Abbey Road Studios/EMI Records in London – developed strategic plan for moving Abbey Road Studios into consumer facing businesses.

Capitol Records Studios in Los Angeles – led a client team to develop new uses for the iconic building including a visitor centre, retail/branding store concept and new media development spaces.

Cinecitta Studios in Rome – developed the concept for a motion picture-based theme park based on the Roman historical studio and to be called Cinecitta World

MAF Development KSA in Saudi Arabia – develop the strategic plan for creating entertainment and leisure uses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Developing the concept, design and operating model for the winning bid for Nomura Securities purchase of the Millenium Dome in London and subsequently to the current owners at Quintain Properties and Anschutz Entertainment Group.

Represented the estate of John Lennon for licensed merchandise programs Real Love and Imagine for children based on his artwork for Sean Lennon.

President & CEO Sony Development, 1993 – 2000: Sony Development was a subsidiary of Sony Corporation of America (SCA) and reported to both SCA and to Sony Corporation, Japan. It was responsible for the design, development and operation of three major entertainment complexes in San Francisco, Tokyo and Berlin. When it closed in 2000 it had more than 800 employees in three countries.
