• Focused on converting the VideoPoints application from an unscalable monolithic kernel written in PHP to a microservice architecture to increase scalability.

• Used Docker to containerize the application, used Adminer to manage the content in the MySQL database, which included users, their personal information, and their uploaded videos, and used Flask as the web framework.

• Wrote the API in Python following the REST API design and used Postman to test the API. PROJECTS

Know Your Quotes – Website for Famous Quotes September 2020 – December 2020

• Developed a website dedicated to memorializing quotes from famous people using dynamic HTML pages, CSS, JavaScript front end verification and PHP script to process form data along with a MySQL database backend for storing registered users and quotes.

• Website features a looping series of quotes on the website homepage, the ability for users to search for quotes and upload their own quotes along with annotated links to pages related to the quote, such as Wikipedia or YouTube videos of the respective quote’s author, and a quote quiz where users can test their knowledge on quotes. Alcohol Consumption vs Life Expectancy – Data Analysis Project September 2020 – December 2020

• Analyzed and visualized the correlation between alcohol consumption and life expectancy using datasets from FiveThirtyEight and Kaggle through data wrangling using R and visualized data using summary statistics generated using dplyr functions, correlation heatmaps and principle component analysis.

• Analyzed and visualized the correlation between alcohol consumption and life expectancy using ANOVA, MANOVA and randomization tests, and predicted interactions and responses of variables using linear and logistic regression models. Pick Me Up – iOS Patient Discharge Application for Hospitals April 2020 – May 2020

• Developed an idea for an app using Python and Swift in XCode which can allow discharged patients to be picked up from the hospital in a way that minimizes contact between people to help reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19 for both the patients and the Hospital staff.

Vertebrate Interactome Mapping (Gene Networks) - Undergraduate Researcher January 2018 – December 2018

• Studied proteins that have been implicated in RNA processing and metabolism and investigated the functions and interactions of novel proteins to map the interactome of the nucleus and used PyMOL modeling software to predict areas and patterns of protein interactions and study the role of specific proteins in RNA processing and gene expression.

• Investigated the RNA-binding motif protein 17 (RBM17 gene) and its product protein (SPF45): where they are found in splicing, what they bind to, and their specific functions, and the consequences of the I316F mutation for the RNA-binding motif protein 10

(RBM 10)
