Detecting drowsiness for drivers on roads using deep learning
· Developed a detection system that identifies indicators of drowsiness through facial recognition for a driver on the road. These indicators are used to cause a trigger alert when the driver is drowsy.
· Modelled two frameworks- Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model and a pre-trained model using transfer learning that accurately predicts for drowsiness 82 % of time.
· The detection system developed helps to reduce road accidents and prevent serious injuries. Predicting risk of road accidents using machine learning
· Performed preprocessing and conducted data analysis to develop a prediction system that detects severity of road accidents.
· Logistic regression model gave the best performance by accurately predicting 81% of the time.
· This project is useful in effectively identifying accident hotspot locations and conduct fatality analysis to take preventive measures. Online Coursework Management system
