Installed conveyor systems, compressors, tanks, and vessels, transformers, switch gear, numerous types of automated equipment, boilers, crushers, weigh feeders, drive motors, sand screws, and turbines. Survey work for layout and excavation for installation of concrete works, rebar, equipment and building foundation anchors, formed and placed concrete with many forming systems, from Symons to Peri, I have produced the submittals for project start up. Placed flat work concrete from sidewalks, curb and gutter to bridge decks, worked on mass concrete curing, grouting, post tensioning and many other aspects of concrete construction. I am certified Equipment operator for Dozer’s, Excavators, Frontend Loaders, Backhoe, Extend Boom Forklifts, Man-Lifts. I have driven sheet pile and pipe pile from a barge, pulled pile and have demolition experience. Gulf Intracoastal Water Way Hurricane Diversion Project; New Orleans, Louisiana

As a Shaw subcontractor Manson constructed the foundation for a Barge gate by installing Concrete piling surrounded by a coffer cell, my duties were oversight of the pouring of a 5000 cubic yard tremmie slab, pump out of coffer cell, leveling tremmie concrete the forming, Subcontractor rebar installation, embed placement, forming placing and curing of concrete footings and walls. I planned the logistics for delivery, loading out of material barges implementing best use of limited access to work area. Followed strict guide lines set forth by the Army Corps of Engineers and Shaw inspectors. Wrote and Implemented JSA’S, held progress and design meetings, safety meetings. Held daily safety meetings with crew did Job Hazard Analysis and wrote reports of all activity. I oversaw maintenance, service and repair of cranes, tugs, concrete pumps and associated equipment. I partnered with QAQC to resolve many issues, developed punch lists with Shaw representatives for timely work progress. I was responsible for the implementation of the IIF safety policy of the Company.

Wrote JHA’s and JSA’s for work associated with the demolition and replacement of damaged sea wall cruise ship berths, oversaw the work and worked as company QAQC for the placement of all concrete. Held daily safety meetings and implemented the IIF safety plan. Worked with Freeport Aggregates to design a concrete design mix that would pass the chloride levels set forth in the Specifications, oversaw concrete placement, finishing and curing Worked with materials logistics, shipping and receiving and customs for timely deliveries of needed equipment and materials. (Two 2.6 mile Bridges of Interstate 10) Logistic coordinator for all materials into and out of job site organized and set up lay down yard for prefabrication of Rebar cages for footings, caps, columns and piles. Loaded out barges with all required materials, over saw Marine operations. My crews organized removal of demolition materials from old bridge spans, shipments of salvage to scrap yards and cleanup of waterway. Loaded out and shipped all temporary bridge pieces to Florida State storage facility. Demobilized work trestles and shipped all pipe pile to storage area. My crews Demobilized job with delivery of all liquidated equipment and materials to buyers around the Southeast. Loaded out Barges of materials and participated in Barge Surveys with certified surveyor for the return of barges to Norfolk, Virginia. Worked with QAQC to develop punch lists and resolve them and worked with owner’s representatives to solve all issues for turnover of bridge to the State of Florida. I oversaw the repair work of damaged bridge deck from tractor trailer fire and the repair work of a sinking pile under a pile cap.

2003-2005 Supervisor Palmetto Bridge Constructors Charleston, South Carolina,

Cooper River Bridge; Charleston, South Carolina; 600 million dollar project, (largest cable stay bridge in the Americas at the time). My duties began with the bolt up and installation of girder support brackets, unloading 55 ton Girders from barges transporting girders to piers and flying them up for installation. Managing bolt-up crews to install diaphragms and all bolt up connections to specifications, Managing welding crew welding out the pot bearing to the girders. I Worked with QAQC to develop methods for bolt-up, to meet the contract specifications. I managed crews installing pot bearings for curved steel girders doing layout and pouring in the grout for them, installed elastomeric bearing pads and sole plates. Placing Steel and concrete Girders.

Oversaw Rebar Logistics and Rebar subcontractor (National Erectors), approximately 200 tons per week for installation of bridge deck and diaphragm rebar, oversaw rebar discrepancies and Logistics for installation and delivery. Managed a crew of rod busters to do all non-contract rebar work, managed a crew to pull and post tension cables in pile caps, and managed a crew for demolition of existing bridge decks and forming and pouring of new additional bridge decks. Followed schedules for welding rebar for the manufacture of 9’to 11’by 120’ long rebar cages for drilled shafts. Loaded and hauled these monster rebar cages and placed them in drilled cans, Managed a welding crew for rebar welding, splicing column cans and piles. Worked with QAQC to develop and implement punch lists for completion and turn over. Managed crews of point and patch work, paint and clean up. Worked demobilization, remedy of Quality Control Issues and bridge turn over to the owner.

2001-2003 Mechanical Manager Tidewater Skanska

Holcium Cement Plant Modernization Holly Hill, South Carolina; 300 million dollar project

My duties were to oversee a crews of as many as 31 men and women to construct 3’ to 5’conveyors over five miles, install them and turn them to the owner. I was Mechanical Supervisor of the conveyor systems in the plant. My crew of Mill Wrights worked for the finalization of all conveyors, weigh feeders, cement screws, and other equipment. I was in charge of planning and following strict guidelines for grouting all embeds for both mechanical and structural elements with conventional and epoxy grouts. I planned and had crews build structural steel stair towers, structural steel transfer stations and built many structural steel walk ways. I was in charge of welding crews installing steel grating, steel deck plates and many more items. I oversaw crews of painters to paint all structural steel and touch up over the entire plant. I worked with the owner’s representatives to establish Mechanical and Structural punch lists throughout the entire plant and coordinated the work required to resolve them. Assisted in start up, using lock out-tag out safety methods and turnover to the plant to the owners.

Holnam Cement Plant Modernization

Florence, Colorado; 250 million dollar project, My duties were to oversee the construction for the foundation of an 1100’ by 300’materials storage building, from layout, excavation and backfill. For the installation of foundations and over two miles of conveyor system, crusher foundation, and feeder and diversion structures, including layout, excavation and backfill. Installation of DENSIT wear materials, welding plate, steel wear plates, installing weigh feeders, overseeing grout crews following all ACI rules for all embeds of structural and mechanical equipment both epoxy and conventional grouts, overseeing painting crews for epoxy painting of all structural steel. I worked with the owner’s representatives to establish punch lists for both mechanical and structural components finalizing them for startup, then turn over of the plant to the owner. I managed the crews for the punch list finalization and then demobilization of all company assets.

Established and ran a successful general contracting business specializing in Concrete work, Remodels home building, public works and commercial structures. My business did public works projects, including curb and gutter sidewalks, storm drain systems, trails and driveways for the cities of Durango, Ignacio, Cortez and Silverton and the U.S. Forest Service. This conveyor was over a mile long passing thru a manmade tunnel and discharged onto a live conveyor.
