WORKING EXPERIENCE:

Debtor’s Assistant at PST Sales and Distributions (07/Jan/2020 – Current): I am responsible for sending customers’ statements, proofs of delivery and invoices to customers. I also ensure that customers adhere to our credit policy and pay on time. I work using the Pastel Sage Evolution Explorer and SAP accounting software. I am also responsible for generating customer age analysis report for management and keeping the overdue amounts within acceptable limits by chasing after customer payments. I prepare bank and debtor’s reconciliation statements.

Credit Risk and AML Officer (01/Aug/2019 - 09/Dec/2019): I was a part of a team that setup the financial operations of DB Capital (Pty) Ltd which operates as a micro lender and a financing company for short term personal and business loans respectively. I assisted the management in making Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with other companies. My task was to ensure that there is efficient and timely flow of information between various departments in the company in terms of loan underwriting process. My roles in this position were to design a good credit risk policy suitable for the company. Other duties include advising management on costs reduction and revenue increment strategies to be employed as well as pricing models. I was also responsible for making disbursement and collection reports and presenting to management to help in decision making.

Industrial Attachment (28/05/2018 – 27/07/2018): I worked on industrial attachment at Vet Agric Suppliers (Pty) Ltd as a Finance intern where I was trained and equipped with a diverse technical knowhow on the operations of the retail industry where I used Tally ERP 9 to record transactions. I prepared monthly debtors, creditors reconciliation statements, tax returns, bank reconciliation statements and employee settlements and salaries payments.

I worked as a private tutor for Junior and primary school children. This tutoring work has and is continuing to help me in developing good communication and interpersonal skills because I deal with a diverse group of clients with different challenges which also developed the spirit of patience in me. I also worked at Brain Empire Tutoring Centre as a JC and BGCSE mathematics, Physics and Accounting tutor (08/08/2017 - 15-12-2017).

Research Assistant: I took part in the preparation of 2012-2016 financial statements analysis research of Choppies Group, Sefalana Group and Furnmart Group of companies conducted by UB Accounting lecturers in 2017 October.

Lion Tutoring; worked as a JC mathematics tutor and JC science tutor (03/06/2017 - 01/08/2017). Volunteer Experience: I have been volunteering from time to time in tutoring students in local Junior and senior schools since 2015 June free of charge.
