PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

June 2016 till date: Sales Agronomist /Cocoa Champion at Yara Cameroon (Centre-south-east regions)

Been able to achieve over 80% of set targets (demonstration plots -100%, Farmer field school – 100% and sales – 89%) consecutively for two years.

Set up 5 demonstration plots (average 1 hectare each) per year in the last 2 years;

Worked with 100 farmer field schools (FFS) per year in the last 2 years;

Implemented the pull and push strategy targeting farmers, retailers and distributors in the fertilizer chain to create demand at the level of the end users;

Organized at least 3 crop clinics per week (106 per year) in the last 2 years on crop nutritional advice to farmers, tailoring of fertilizer scheme and promoting the new nutritional program tailored for the cocoa farmers.

Supported and followed up at least 500 farmers who use YARA products to increase production and subsequently their livelihoods.

December 2013 – May 2016: Agronomist, OLAM Cameroon

Identified hotspots for growing cocoa and created at least 7 Common Initiative Groups per Cooperative (350 groups) to encourage the farmers to increase the quality of cocoa in the Centre region of Cameroon (Makenene, Bafia, Mbangasina, Ntui and Batchenga) aimed at increasing farmer incomes;

Trained at least 50 cooperatives in these localities (Makenene, Bafia, Mbangasina, Ntui and Batchenga) on post-harvest processes in the cocoa value chain;

Led the evaluation of cocoa during group sales in order to ensure only high quality cocoa is purchased;

Trained farmers to produce high quality flavor Cocoa and facilitated their sales to OLAM;

Carried out a feasibility study on Arabica coffee production in France ville Gabon. (Olam Cameroon and Olam Gabon);

Conceived and produced a Robusta coffee training manual and led the demonstration of 4C license compliance with the targeted farmers;

Carried out a 4C certification on Robusta coffee for 1000 farmers to produce 2000 tons of coffee in the lower noun of Cameroon (Malantouen);

Carried out 4C certification on Arabica coffee for 3500 farmers to produce 5000 tons of coffee in the North West region of Cameroon (Kumbo).

February 2012 – December 2013: Supervisor, Olam Cameroon.

August 2010 - January 2012: Farm Manager at the Babcam Cocoa Project, Nguti subdivision Cameroon.

Managed a 150 hectares cocoa farm (set up nurseries and transplanted seedlings)

Supervised 2 permanent staff, and always source for at least 20 seasonal workers

May - October 2009: Intern at Smallholder dairy Development Project (SDDP) Kumbo, Cameroon.

A final year thesis entitled: “Sociological and zoo technical characteristics of smallholder dairy farming of Tadu Dairy Cooperative Society (TDCS) farmers

August - September 2008: Intern at FAO Yaounde Cameroon.

Participated in the evaluation of Smallholder farmers under the National Food Security

Program (NFSP) and value analysis of the farmers’ need.
