Developing a work environment that encourages compliance with safety and employment regulations
Setting performance metrics for each team member and then working with team members to make sure that all metrics are met.
Daily updates to senior management team on status of weekly production plan
Assigning each member of the team tasks based on their competencies and the needs of the group to meet production goals
Keeping track of inventory and making sure raw and pack materials are enough to complete the weekly production plan.

Roles and Responsibilities
Shift supervision of the production team in order to achieve set targets.
Stock monitoring and control-This involves continuous monitoring and accounting for usage of raw and packaging materials that are used during production using the SAP platform.
Breakdown repairs during shift operations.
Monitoring and analysis of OEE.
Monitoring operations of reverse osmosis plant, boiler and effluent treatment plant. Achievements
Dish washing paste capacity improvement – The project aimed at improving the production capacity of the dish washing paste line from 5 tons daily to 10 tons daily. At the end of the project, the production line produced the highest daily tonnage of 11.5 tons.
Hair gel packing line automation – From the project, the line has a daily production capacity of 680 cases up from 560 cases.
Water consumption reduction: Reducing normalized water consumption from 3.7m3/ton to 3.2 m3/ton through reuse of processing water and sealing water leakages. January 2019 to May 2019: TATA Chemicals Magadi (Mechanical Planner) Roles and Responsibilities
Use of SAP platform to create material codes, monitor purchase requisitions and purchase orders, create reservations and to create work orders.
Provide technical specifications of spares and equipment to vendors via the procurement team to ensure goods and services of right quality and quantity are delivered on time
Monitor the level of critical spares in stores
Prepare detailed scopes and bill quantities for maintenance and contractual works
Plan and schedule routine tasks for the maintenance team
Plan and coordinate annual shutdowns and major works for the plant
Carry out Root Cause Analysis for breakdowns

Achievements

Plant optimization through condition monitoring.
Carry out specific inspections (vibration analysis, noise, speed, temperature, pressure measurements) of mechanical equipment such as pumps, centrifugal fans and gearboxes.
Carrying out preventive maintenance and providing accurate and timely feedback to the supervisor on conditions that may affect plant availability.
Analyze test data from vibrational analysis and infrared thermography to determine faults in equipment and corrective action to be taken.
Troubleshooting mechanical defects on various equipment and machinery.
Support plant team in ensuring employees and contractors adhere to the Health and Safety Policy as well as adherence to OSHA Act in all the operations by employees and contractors.
