System Modelling and Simulation
Boat Manufacturing process
Overall Modelling approach of a working model, of a boat manufacturing process was simulated. which includes
entity modelling, and routing, resources and stations were assigned on each stage with animation. Bottleneck of
the entire process is identified. Results were analysed based on those suggestions and improvements were
given.
Robotics and Manufacturing Automation
Controlled a Manipulator for pick and place operation Which has one Revolute and Prismatic joint, in which
electric drives are used for each joint. Transfer function model is used to describe the input and output of each
joint drive Simulated each drive system in MATLAB by applying unit step response at each transfer function
model. Control system was designed to place the gripper in the desired position using Ziegler -Nichols tuning
method. The system response was simulated after applying controller using SIMULINK .
Advanced Measurement System and Data Analysis
The dimensions of the turned and milled components were evaluated and analysed for fitting linear and
nonlinear models. Numerical Algorithm was designed and implemented for data analysis using MATLAB.
