• Work with vendors on loaner trays to be processed and immediately sent to the Operating Room

(OR)

• Document procedural work (i.e. Temperatures, sterilization uses, decontamination logs, and case cart preparation in Sterile Storage)

• Decontamination Room - Disassembly of instrument trays and parts to be prepared for disinfection and the cleansing process

• Utilize the tunnel washing machine for trays and instruments

• Record incoming trays and carts to be scanned to execute disinfection process

• Preparation and Packaging Room - Reassembly of trays and instruments in accordance to count sheet and guidelines for each instrument company

• Place instruments on sterilization machines in accordance with instrument tray parameters

• Record instruments on trays to be marked and if needed, restock additional items

• Record and document items to be scanned and sterilized

• Record and place trays needed for the OR's schedule sheet in preparation for transport Respiratory Equipment Technician
