This application is designed for the HandHeld Computer devices, used in the retail store Cost Cutter. It is used by the store associate to capture the product data using barcode scan, store them in the file and transmit them to central Back Office to perform activities like adding new items, promotion set up, changing price, creating order, creating label etc.

Responsibilities:

Individually worked on the whole system and implement it from scratch.

Designed and developed all the modules of the system e.g. Order management, Inventory management, Promotion, Price management, Label Creation, Receive Data, File Send etc.

Created Complex Views on BOS SQL Server System which is used in the SQLCE RDA PULL methods to refresh the database on the Handheld in Receive Data module.

Designed and developed the File Send module to transmit the module related files from Hand Held to BOS using socket programming. A windows service was created which act as a listener at BOS, while on HHC, a client was created which send request to listener to receive file from HHC.

Involved in Unit testing of the code using the Windows CE Emulator.

Involved Patch release and deployment of the code in form of cab files on the actual device.
