I became a server at Abuelos where I interacted with people a lot more. I always made sure that our customer’s needs were met. Besides serving our customers I had to do opening duties and closing duties and those varied depending on what section I am put in.

I am a hostess/coordinator at Abuelo’s. I seat our customers as they come in or I will let the hostesses where to sit our customers. As a host I grab the menus and clean them if needed, I clean the bathrooms, take out the bathroom and outside trash. Apart of a hostess’s job we are to roll the silverware. If a customer needed help with anything then I pointed them in the right direction.

I was a cashier, I walked around the store while customers came in to see if they needed any help looking for anything. I transferred from Hardin-Simmons University to be closer to family. I am currently majoring in Criminal Justice. My GPA is was a 3.2 at the end of my first semester sophomore year and currently my GPA is around a 3.5 as I finish up my second semester of my sophomore year. Junior year at LCU I was nominated to be in the NSLS which is the National Honors Society of Leadership and Success where I will go through leadership training and be inducted into the NSLS at the end of the semester. I am finishing up my senior year at Lubbock Christian University where I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.

COLLEGE, Hardin-Simmons University

For my first year of college I attended Hardin-Simmons University. I majored in Accounting, first semester my ending GPA was a 3.8 and was on the Dean’s List, the second semester I ended up with a 4.0. I was a student athlete, I played basketball at Hardin-Simmons. While I was attending Hardin-Simmons my basketball team fed the homeless and passed out pumpkins at the pumpkin patch for the kids.

I graduated as Valedictorian. I was the Secretary in the National Honors Society. My GPA was a 3.85. I was captain of the basketball team and the varsity cheer squad. In basketball I was second team all-district and first team all-district. I ran cross country as well. In track I went to regionals in shot put and discus my senior year. I participated on the Radio Broadcasting team and we placed 4th in Area my Junior year and 5th my Senior year. I also participated on the AG Mechanics team that went to state my freshman year, and the Farm Business team which went to state my Sophomore and Junior year. Sophomore year I was the Reporter on the FFA officer team, Junior year I was the Sentinel, and Senior I was the Secretary. The FFA officer team participated in the Toys for Tots and the Lights of Love foundations to give toys to kids that were not fortunate enough to have a Christmas. I received multiple scholarships from the FFA, the Grant Drennan Memorial Scholarship, the Dawson County Scholarship, and I received my Lone Star Degree. I also received a scholarship from Region 17. Since I was Valedictorian of my class I also received a Valedictorian scholarship as well.

ACTIVITIES

I like to help out in any way I can, in high school I gave toys to the Lights of Love and Toys for Tots foundations. My freshman year of college I fed the homeless, passed out pumpkins at the pumpkin patch for the kids with my basketball team and with one of my classes I helped paint a fence at the horse shelter. Also, while I was at Hardin-Simmons I helped out at football, volleyball, and soccer games by selling tickets or being a ball girl.
