PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

I earned mostly of my experience onboard on four different types of ships I worked with, namely: Luxury/Passenger ships, Bulk ships, Reefer ships and Container Ships, from 1991 up to the present.

On passenger ships, I gained experience and knowledge on troubleshooting and repair of hotel equipments such as: Laundry washing machines and dryers, Gallery range, oven, dishwashers, combi-steamers and other hotel appliances including fridges. On container and bulk ships, as an Electrical Engineer, commonly called as Electrician onboard. I am responsible for the maintenance and proper operation of Generator sets, Main Switchboard and Distribution Panels.

Regularly checking the controls and overhauling of motors and reconditioning its contactors and relays.

Carried out maintenance and repair of hydro-electric cranes and remote controlled hydraulic valves.

Conducted troubleshooting and repair of faulty automation and alarm system integrated with Programmable Logic Controller

(PLC) or with Software

Performed troubleshooting and repair of elevators onboard passenger ships and on big container ships.

Experienced in handling Generator facilities with medium high voltage (around 6,600 Volts)

Supervision and Repair of Cargo Reefer Containers. Assist the marine engineers and engine crew during overhauling of ship’s main engine.
