Mini Projects:

•Home Automation(Workshop held on July 13, 2017). The project defines about monitoring & controlling home attributes such as lightning,climate,entertainment system & other appliances using smart phone. Also includes about access control & alarm system.When connected with the Internet, home devices are an important constituent of the ‘Internet of Things’(IOT). The user interface for control of the system uses eiether wall-mounted terminals, tablet or desktop computers, a mobile phone application, or a web interface that may also be accesible off-site through the internet.

•Women Safety Device(Participation in Pudumai project contest 2017 conducted at Anand Institute Of Higher Technology). We propose a GPS based womens safety system that has dual security feature. This device consists of a system that ensures dual alerts in case a women is harassed or she thinks she is in trouble. It is useful because once an incident occurs with a women she may or may not get the chance to press the emergency button. In a button press alerting system,in case a women is hit on the head from behind, she may never get the chance to press panic button & no one will know she is in trouble.Our system solves this problem.This device is turned on in adavnce by a women in some dark alley or any remote area.Only the women authenticated to the devices can start the system by fingerprint scan. Once started the device requires the women to constantly scan her finger on the system every 1 minute,else the system now sends her location to the authorized personal number through SMS message as a security measure & also sounds a buzzer continiously so that nearby people may realize the situation.This device uses GPS sensor along with a gsm modem, lcd display, leds and microcontroller based circuit to achieve this system.

Main Project:

Domestic Waste Segregator

A real-time garbage seperation system is designed using Digital Image Processing and Machine Learning algorithm whch can segregate wastes into paper, food waste, plastics and metals. Here both supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques are used. Image Processing algorithms include SURF-BOW, k-means and the classifier used in SVM.
