First hired as a groundskeeper for a local Maryland church as a teenager. Then went to work for the family business repairing lawnmowers, generators, and other small engines, delivering new and used products, and running the sales counter. As the company expanded, moved to on-the-road sales and service. Part of my high level of customer service stems from educating customers on installing their emergency power system. Telling people in a way that they would understand a very complex mechanical device was a must in getting the job done right. When the business was sold after twenty years, repaired cars for friends and family until being hired by W. L. Sterner in Hanover, PA as a John Deer tractor set up mechanic. This also involved cleaning, waxing, and detailing any piece of equipment sold, repairing old tractors for resale, along with maintaining truck, forklifts and tools that were needed for everyday work, driving a forklift daily unloading, loading anything from air conditioners and trailers to wood pellets, pushing, pulling or moving everything that needed to be moved. Also included delivering products and picking up parts, tractors, mowers and so forth. In 2006, leaving now known as Finch Services, began self employment by painting/ staining houses, buildings and decks including small repairs. Upon moving to Florida to help care for aging parents, worked for a short time at St. Bernard's Church as a maintenance person, and did odd jobs for local people.
Education:
