Kittle Property Group specializes in the development, construction, and management of over 155 multi-family properties, providing homes for 35,000 families Nationwide. As Design Project Manager & Architect, I lead a team of 20+ during the design of Multi-family residential projects in Ohio, Indiana, Alabama, South Carolina, and Texas. Projects range from Market Rate, LIHTC, and Section 8. My projects have resulted in 1,770 new homes. Construction costs range from $4-37 million for a combined total of $192,969,399.
Review, coordinate, and maintain design documents for multi-family projects across the U.S.
Ensure the design is reflective of owner’s requirements, ANSI, Building Codes, HUD, requirements from lenders & other requirements from AHJ for each state.
Consult in predevelopment site analysis with development team. Produce conceptual site plan and Design Application sets to local jurisdictions for approval.
Prepare contract documents using BIM software for permit approval at state and local level. Assist in preparing documents and coordinating between 3rd parties.
Consult with Estimating & Purchasing teams to ensure design is fully aligned with construction budget; Represent the ‘owner’ during the bid process.
Work closely with a 3rd party scheduler using MS Project to develop and update schedules for projects under my management.
Manage up to 9 projects at a time from design to delivery. This has been made possible through an internal standardization effort using BIM techniques. Efforts of our design team resulted in $7.8 million net revenue in 2020.
Coordinate with internal and external team members to ensure successful completion of projects.
Lead design benchmark meetings where 20+ team members meet to review drawings to ensure their constructability, meeting owner standards, and other outside factors. Mentor internal team members.
Prepare contract documents for permit approval at state and local level. Prepare permit applications for each state.
Maintain relationships with current 3rd parties and local jurisdictions
Collaborate with construction team, property management team, & 3rd parties on design coordination efforts for future projects
