Developed PFD and P&ID diagrams using AutoCAD for above mentioned projects. Prepared instrument datasheets, equipment datasheets, line lists, Heat and Mass balance and other types of documentation that would meet project needs.Checked Equipment Layout drawing, Foundation drawing, Piping Layout and Iso drawings. Supervised the execution, precommission and commission of the project. Process Troubleshooting after commissioning till submission of project completion report.
Prepared Node wise HAZOP study for the above mentioned projects and adhered all statutory lists.
Performed feasibility study on Heat exhanger area adequacy based on LMTD and U(HTC). Result of this feasibilty study avoided procurement of 9 lakhs rupees new heat exchanger.
Softwares utilization including ASPEN (Plus and Hysis) and DWSIM for simulation of reaction kinetics and for equipment energy balance to optimize plant parameters. Lead 2 chemists and worked with SASTRA University concerning a newly developed value added product. Simulation task accomplished for small scale tubular reactor for lab-scale study. Combined with the lab results and simulation, currently the project is moved to the industrial scale production.
Internal simulation has been carried out on Propylene recovery unit distillation column to check the feasibility of the payback period, which helps us to save 2 Lakhs. Hydraulics calculation and line sizing by simulation and hand calculation. Made complex calculations to increase the efficiency of boilers and heat exchangers.
Created Pumps, Safety valve and Heat Exchanger enquiry specification sheet and validated technical and commercial offer of the same. Safety valve load and sizing calculations done based on the hypothesis using API 520-521 standards. Accomplished Basic Engineering calculations on Pressure vessel using ASME sec VIII. Page 2 of 3
Commissioned Liquid Nitrogen storage along with its vaporiser and pressure reduction system by coordinating with third party. Commissioned Ejector vacuum package system for Polyol reactor. Handled vendor engineering for various scale of projects.
Sizing of Condensate Pots, Selection of Loction for Equipment and Piping layout. Calculations on Pressure reducing valve, Emergency relief valve and Pressure vacuum relief valve.
Observation of trends in DCS to monitor and optimize the plant. Response to requests for information for general and specific projects and analyse daily production reports. Collaboration with engineers and vendors to discuss potential engineering projects. Collaboration with mechanical engineers to resolve process development and maintenance issues.
Addition and deletion of fixed assets in the Fixed Asset Register after project completion. ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Performed calculations on Boiler efficiency and reduced fuel consumption by 3%.
Identified pinch points in the Heat exchanger and formulated a modification proposal that enables us to save 1.7 lakhs per month as direct profit and 40 thousand as indirect profit.
Installation of Liquid Nitrogen Tank which solves the product colour issue and increased the product price by 1%
Cracked GATE exam (2017) and (2018) with 85 and 88 percentile respectively.
Awarded Dean’s merit scholarship of 18000 rupees for the exceptional marks in SASTRA Deemed University.
Awarded IIT Bombay fossee honorarium of 5000 rupees and certificate for Dwsim simulation. The work has been selected as one of the best simulation and posted in IITB-Dwsim website.
Cleared online certificate course in scilab conducted by IIT BOMBAY.
