Job Responsibilities

Implementation of Quality system

Stage and final Inspections as per drawing and ITP during Project Execution which includes-

Incoming material Inspection – verification of MTCs and corelating the marking, physical verification.

Material inspection prior to issue for fabrication.

Transferring and verifying traceability marking of material are maintained throughout Fabrication.

Inspection of Joint Fit ups for compliance of dimensions and alignment to the drawing requirements.

Visual inspection of Welded joints for surface defects and weld reinforcement requirements are meeting Drawing and Construction Code.

Verifying Heat Treatment Records.

Verifying required NDE are performed and results are acceptable per the Construction Code.

Verifying completeness of fabrication, erection, examination, inspection and reconciliation of all documents reports prior to pressure test.

Preparation, witnessing Pressure tests (Hydrostatic, Pneumatic) and documenting the tests.

Inspection and documentation during equipment’s (Pumps, Pressure Vessels, Burners etc.) erection and alignment.

Compilation and submission of Final Documentation to Customer and Regulatory Authorities if required.

Establishing Quality Control Program

Quality Control Manual, operating Procedures for ASME Certificate of Authorization and Client requirements.

Preparation and approval of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).

Qualification and approval of Procedure Qualification Record (PQR).

Qualification and approval of Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ).

Approval of NDE Procedures RT, PT, MT, UT, VT.

Approval of outsourced NDE Personnel based on the written practice.

Managing all Deviations observed using NCR tool.

Preparation / Approval Post Weld Heat Treatment Procedures.

Approval of Field Quality Plans, Weld and NDE Plans, Field Weld Inspection Reports.

Inspection / Verification of incoming materials and welding consumables and ensuring the compliance to construction Code.

General Management

Ensure all IBR/ASME requirements are compiled (like material inspection, fit up Clearance, Weld Visual etc.) for Pressure retaining items and maintain documentation.

Liasoning with IBR officials for inspection and certification.

Coordination with Authorized Inspector for inspection and certification.

To maintain daily progress reports and prepare protocols after the final inspection.

To maintain FQP (Field Quality Plan) document for clearance.

Attend meetings with the client, prepare MOMs (minutes of meeting) and close issues such as WDRs, NCRs, Observations, etc.

Plan and Develop new ideas and techniques for better results.

Managing the team and achieving the required monthly targets set by company management.

Reporting to the quality manager and higher authorities. Experience and Project Details
