Brief Description of Undergraduate Courses Taught: (Course Title – Code: Description)
Anatomy -ANAT 213R . This course offers a basic understanding the basic anatomical terms, describing the gross structure of the different organs and their major anatomical features and relations. The course will cover knowledge aboutthe anatomy of the different body systems and their related functions and disorders.
Respiratory Anatomy & Physiology -RT 221R This course provides background, coherent knowledge and concepts of respiratory system anatomy and cardiopulmonary physiology that students require to progress in the comprehensive curriculum of respiratory care. Identify the anatomical structure and different components of the respiratory and cardiac systems.
Neuroanatomy -ANAT 224 - This course offers a basic understanding of the anatomical structure of the different parts of the nervous system as well as the anatomical basis of nervous system disorders. It also provides basic principles for the understanding of the relation between the anatomy of the nervous system and its disorders. The course will cover knowledge about the anatomy of the skull and vertebral column, development and abnormalities of the CNS in addition to the anatomy and blood supply of the different parts of CNS. It also describes the gross structure of the eye and ear as organs of special senses, as well as cranial nerves and innervation of the upper and lower limbs.
Medical Anatomy- MBBS This course describes human anatomy exposes the structures of the body and pursue their related disposition by dissections. Living_Anatomy and Radiological_Anatomy with improved imaging techniques (X- ray, CT Scan, MRI etc.) applies the knowledge from dissection of dead bodies to the living individuals, which has become important for clinical studies. Embryology and Genetics depicts the intra uterine development of human embryos and fetuses. It attempts to explore factors responsible for growth and differentiation of tissues and organs as well causes occasional malformations. Histology deals with normal ultra-structure of organs and later on is compared with the pathological status for the differentiation between the normal and abnormal. Clinical-_Anatomy emphasizes on the application of anatomical knowledge in clinical practice for helping clinicians for reaching correct diagnosis and apply remedial measures.
Medical Anatomy-BSc Nursing This course provides basic knowledge of structures of human body which will be helpful for their future clinical practice of nursing. Here the students are taught Anatomical terms, Parts of the human body, Tissues in broad outline and Lectures of all the systems of human body with demonstrations on the skeleton & dissected specimens.
Medical Anatomy- BSc MLT This course provides basic knowledge of structures of human body which will be helpful for their future technician jobs in various subjects. Here the students are taught Anatomical terms, Parts of the human body, Tissues in broad outline and Lectures of all the systems of human body with demonstrations on the skeleton & dissected specimens
