Clerical and Account Specialist – My clerical specialist position included administrative duties for 5 Unit Supervisors and 25 Social Workers including handling, typing, alphanumeric entry into SACWIS, and faxing many types of documents to clients and various agencies. We also had to answer calls and take messages for the supervisors and social workers when necessary. We would cover the front desk and greet clients when they came in with any complaints or concerns. Each team member provided excellent teamwork and communication skills. My position as account specialist position included processing mileage and scanning, processing and entering accounts payables into the Banner System. Daily bank reconciliations and cutting checks for the direct, indirect, and children’s accounts were vital to the position as well as the daily opening and closing the safe and paying petty cash to social workers.
