RESUME

I was born in Peekskill, New York, and reared in California. I served Honorably in the US Navy JAGC, and have resided in Guam, USA since my Honorable Discharge; prior to my moving recently to Georgia to be nearer my adult children and their families.

EDUCATION WORK HISTORY & EXPERIENCE:

GUAM COMMUNITY COLLEGE:

Adjunct Faculty Professor, Political Science and History, I taught courses in American Government, History of World Civilizations One and Two, Introduction to Philosophy and Employment and Labor Law. I worked with the Department Chairs for the Criminal Justice and Social Sciences Department and the Business Department; seeking to enhance, develop and expand the Programs and Courses for the areas I was teaching in.

UNIVERSITY OF GUAM:

Adjunct Faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences. I taught Courses in Writing Composition and Writing Research under the English Department.

DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION:

I taught High School Classes in US History, American Government, Geography, Freshman Academy. I coached Mock Trial Teams and worked with the Micronesian Student Association.

I taught Middle School Classes in Earth Science and Life Science.

ACADEMY OF OUR LADY:

I taught AP US History

CERTIFICATION:

I am certified as a “Master Educator” by the Guam Educator Certification Commission until 2029

GUAM FEDERATION OF TEACHERS:

I worked with School Management, Teachers and Support Staff to establish and foster a good working environment for the Students, Faculty and Administrators. I coordinated with the Board of Education, Legislators and the Executive Branch of Government to create and revise laws, to promote and support the development of education in Guam.

LAW WORK HISTORY & EXPERIENCE:

I served in the Navy Judge Advocate Generals Corps right after graduating from Tulane University Law School. I served first at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Paris Island, SC, and then at the Naval Legal Services Office in Naples Italy. Thereafter I moved to Guam, USA, where I served in the Office of the Attorney General of Guam: I worked as an Assistant Attorney General; then as the Deputy Attorney General; and ultimately, I served as the Attorney General of Guam.

Practiced Law and worked in the Legal Field for a number of years prior to going into the Education Profession.

COMMUNITY INTEREST & ACTIVITES:

I have served with the Episcopal Church in Micronesia, and in several Civic Organizations over the years in Guam, and The Western Pacific, such as Lions, Rotary, Sigma Chi Alumni and the Heart & Stroke Association. These activities illustrate my ongoing interest and desire to be involved with and provide services to people of all ages and of different backgrounds and cultures. I am in good health and will coordinate availability.
