OBJECTIVE

EXPERIENCE
HUMBER RIVER HOSPITAL 2012 - CURRENT
Environmental Service Attendant
• Responsible for adhering to PIDAC standards in patient care areas
• Effectively oriented and trained new employees in meeting cleaning requirements in healthcare.
• Introduced a new process of including cleaning in the West side Dialysis unit that minimized spills when collecting biohazards.
• Supported the Department in ordering and stocking supplies on the unit.
• Responsible for cleaning and steaming patient equipment including monitors, chairs, tables, and common areas.
• Assisting Nursing Staff when asked to ensure patient satisfaction and quality care.
• Participated in Continuous Quality Improvement audits including Glo germ audits, visual audits, Public Health Department reviews with no negative findings.
• Experienced working in the Dialysis Department in an acute care setting.
• Trained in WHMIS and all mandatory hospital required education.

• Responsible for providing exceptional customer service to customers
• Take orders, prepare and bake food, run cash register, and keep stores clean and sanitized.
• Responsible for proper handling and storage of food.
CAREGIVER 2006 – 2008
• Independent caregiver responsible for caring a couple in a private house.
• Duties includes assist employers with daily living
• Performed various task for employers such as housekeeping
• Prepared meals, give prescribed medications.
• Trained to do home dialysis for one the employer
- Make sure to get into the treatment routine
- Organize, keep track of the supplies needed.
- Gather supplies needed for the treatment
- Make sure to do proper hand hygiene before and after dialysis
- Set up the machine, check all alarms
- Take vital signs before and after a treatment
- Clean the access then connect patient line to the machine.
- Start the treatment and monitor it
- Troubleshoots any problems that occur
- Draw blood for lab test
- Keep treatment logs and send it to the nurse in-charge
- Disconnect patient after treatment
- Clean, disinfect the machine and discard trash properly
- Keep track of the symptoms that are common for people on dialysis. Be sure to inform the nurse and treatment team about the how the client is doing
- Keep important information at all times in case of emergency.
ORANGE VALLEY NURSING HOME 2004 - 2006
Care Nurse
• Supported an average caseload of 50 patients in the provision of preventive and palliative healthcare within a nursing home environment.
• Provided ongoing assistance to physicians and geriatrics health care professionals from routine appointment to crisis management.
• Administer medications, maintain clear, concise, and accurate patients records.
• Help and assist patients on their daily activities.
