I am currently a Sgt in the Marine Corps. After the initial Marine Corps training, I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan for 2 years as a Military Police dispatcher for all emergency calls that occurred on Marine Corp installations. From Okinawa, I was selected to be part of the Executive Presidential Squadron to provide security for domestic and overseas travel missions. With the Executive Presidential Squadron, I was entrusted with the security of multi-million dollar aircraft and the personnel to operate them. Throughout my enlistment, I have been in charge of anywhere from 4 to 10 Marines.
For the first year at the Squadron, I was the Non-commissioned officer in charge of the Physical Security of the unit aboard Marine Corps Air Facility. From there, I became 1 of 10 Marines giving the opportunity to salute the President of the United States.
After that, I moved on to be the second in charge of a 12hr shift with 8 10 Marines entrusted with maintaining constant security of the unit. I will be leaving active duty between late June to mid July depending on my unit's ability to release me. 01/2013 – 06/2015
