PROJECTS
COURSEWORK Graduate
Jan 2016 – Dec 2020 Atlanta, GA
• Solved MDPs using value and policy iteration methods and implemented SARSA, single/multi-agent Q-Learning, TD(λ), KWIK, and both DQN-based and tile-coded function approximation learners for a continuous-state-space domain.
• Enhanced MiniMax algorithm with AlphaBeta pruning, iterative deepening, and graph partitioning to create a dominant strategy for a variant of the Isolation game.
• Used object segmentation, gradient detection, and production systems to generate quantitative metrics and develop solution methods for Raven’s Progressive Matrices.
• Developed an automated 2.5D parallax algorithm using static images and their depth maps, combined with image filtering to remedy occlusions.
• Explored variance and bias tradeoff concepts for supervised-learning models and experimented with randomized optimization methods for various NP-hard domains.
• Wrote Markov, Kalman, and particle filters for localization; Grid SLAM for mapping; A* for graph searching and path finding; and PID steering/control for a virtual autonomous automobile.
• Implemented edge, line, and circle detection; depth from stereo; n-view camera calibration; corner and feature detectors; feature matching with SIFT descriptors and RANSAC; panoramic image stitching; hierarchical optical flow; and activity recognition using motion history images.
• Architected an event-based, bus transit simulation system with UML diagrams and supplied its functional implementation.
EXPERIENCE
STANLEY X Software Engineering Intern, Robotics
Jun 2019 – Aug 2019 Atlanta, GA
• Led design and development of tools and VR prototypes within the Unity Game Engine to display annotated Building Information Modeling (BIM) data alongside 360 panoramic images to aid in validation, temporal analyses, and remote walkthroughs for the construction industry.
• Constructed an ”as-built” architectural model of the product development area within Revit to serve as both ground-truth data for 3D reconstruction research and development and BIM data for specialized application prototypes. PROFIT SWORD Software Engineer, Data Services
Oct 2017 – Nov 2018 Alpharetta, GA
• Wrote and maintained extract, transform, and load (ETL) ASP.NET HTTP handlers to aggregate various sales, property, and payroll management systems for the hospitality management industry.
• Managed export pipelines using SFTP systems and RESTful APIs in coordination with clients to deliver timely data specially formatted to match their unique business needs.
APPLE Software Engineering Intern, HD Maps
May 2017 – Aug 2017 Sunnyvale, CA
• Implemented map-matching for high-fidelity navigation data and gathered statistics of traffic patterns to optimize routing.
• Introduced a novel geometric binning technique to classify intersections in road-network graphs.
• Built scalable graph visualization tools to plot key statistics and identify regions of interest.
ADAMS CAPITAL Business Valuation Intern
Jun 2015 – Sep 2015 Atlanta, GA
• Generated $10,000 by completing two valuation reports with a total appraisal amount of $3,465,000.
• Conducted specific research for litigation projects that were priced at a total of
$160,000.
• Programmed credit rating and control premium analyses with VBA in Excel interfacing with the Capital IQ plugin.
• Built a screener to value over 4,000 publicly-traded companies using a proprietary valuation model.
