WORK EXPERIENCE
A.Volunteer Firefighter City of Gweru Fire Brigade (2020-present).
Serve as a member of a firefighting crew engaged in the protection of life and property. Respond to major emergencies and respond to alarms. Combat fires while performing the full performance of firefighting tasks involving structures, equipment, facilities, as well as fuel, chemical and veld fires. When combating structural fires, wear self-contained breathing apparatus and move through dark interior corridors and stairways to locate the origin of fire. Control and extinguish fires while performing rescues.
Utilize my training in incident response management while performing hazardous material incident management. Have been trained to utilize advanced control containment and or confinement procedures, cleanup, decontamination, and related operations.
Attend to small and large emergency road traffic accidents (RTAs) performing rescues, extrications and take steps to prevent further head, neck, and c-spine injuries.
Assisted with all heavy and technical rescue operations, became skilled in lifesaving techniques. Response to trauma and medical emergencies.
