Experience

Over sixteen years of experience writing and testing software on Microsoft and various UNIX platforms. Introduced automated techniques in AT&T’s DacScan and InfoWorx projects. Continued to develop and implement test scripts, write test plans, test for Quality Assurance, and assist Customer Support Team at CommVault Systems on the Galaxy project. Led Quality Assurance on GalaxyTM project, a backup and restoration system that saved software to all media types and restored data to the letter or file level. Followed SDLC on system testing of several modules on MicrosoftTM, UnixTM, and SunOSTM platforms. Automated test scripts using WinRunnerTM, LoadRunnerTM, and TestDirectorTM automation programs. Wrote, managed and ran load, regression and compatibility scripts nightly on several platforms. Led multiple releases. Collaborated with documentation, customer support, and development team to add new features, develop delivery timelines, edit and test documentation, train support personnel, field customer questions and feature requests. Managed the modification request system.

InfoWorx (1993-1998) Led quality assurance teams in capture and playback technology, voice recognition (Blasr technology), and interfaced with First Data Corporation in handling of online credit card charges. Manipulated Voice Control Units (VCU) to produce different types of scenarios and complications with voice, data, and T1 signals. Introduced automation into department. Automated test scripts for regression testing. DACScan (1988-1993) Lead system tester responsible for delivering software for all Digital Access Cross-Connect systems in the USA, Mexico, and Italy. Developed and managed testing timelines, test cases, and regression testing. Introduced automation into the testing methodologies. Worked closely with field support for installations in Mexico and the USA. Developed grammar and software tools to produce database queries, inserts, updates and deletes, which required minimum input from developers. This software took information and rewrote it into C coded queries for Oracle SQL database. The resulting files were small and required very little storage - expensive at the time. Once the program became an executable, the generated database access C code was eliminated.

Telemetry (1985-1988) Wrote C program to translate ASCII to telemetry and vice versa so the 5ESS switch could communicate with the other telemetry devices at the telephone offices. Researched and tested with the 5ESS in Naperville, Illinois. Demonstrated, installed, and trained office personnel in Florida on use of product. Provided customer support. Wrote a program in Basic16CC, a proprietary assembler code, to create a T1 Test Set to be used to create 10 instances of all T1 signals. Test set was used for the development and the testing of other projects throughout the organization.
