Objective
Leverage automated testing solutions to send out the best possible software solutions for my company. Accomplishments at CBRE
● Organized our QA department to tackle our technical debt.
● Increased test automation coverage by 30% in 3 months
● Implemented a Selenium test automation framework that reduced test case creation from 18hr to 8hrs.
● Moved our testing pipeline from TFS to VSTS.
● Improved our parallel testing strategy from OnPrem VMs to Azure Agents (saving 60% in monthly cost)
● Improve our testing execution from 1.5hr to 35mins (61% improvement)
● Self taught VSTS to help DevOps integrate our test automation suite to achieve continuous integration.
● Improved our daily scrum meeting by programming a RaspberryPI to make use of an existing LED TV for Zoom/Webex daily standup meeting, and to show a realtime dashboard of our sprint progress.
● Improved teams visibility of test results by adding a custom slack message our team slack channel Accomplishments at Tail Light
● Organized a QA department from the ground up.
● Create critical regression scenarios to safeguard software products in production.
● Formalized a testing process with developers and operations.
● Created automated test for selenium testing framework
● Took on code deployments to ensure known changes to our testing regions.
● When we moved data centers, we took on the task to create a test strategy to guarantee critical systems are fully operational.
● Self taught on how to do Octopus and Bamboo deployment to help DevOps team
● Self taught JIRA to help the planning team with dashboards to garther real time metrics Accomplishments at CVS
● Used QTP, Visual Basic, and Java to create an automation framework that increased testing coverage from 200 test cases to 1300, reduced our testing time frame from 3 weeks (4 people) to 3.5 days (2 people), and decreased the need for maintenance by 40%.
● Designed a framework which allowed automated testing across 6 computers, that scales up to 200+ computers. This reduced testing time by 50%. This was done by using a data drive design, centralized database, and a decentralized driver script.
● Moved a 5yr old framework with +15 databases and 10 QTP Drive Scripts into our corporate standard of 1 QTP Driver Script 1 Database. We found a 76% performance improvement.
● Lead multiple offshore teams to allow for 24hr testing and development.
● Took the initiative to learn new technologies to improve the automation testing process.
● Created a java application that allowed greater test coverage for our department.
● Received awards by other departments for my frequent hard work and dedication. Professional Experience
