Responsibility: Willy Jay is working as a DataStage developer in International Bank (Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited) and his responsibilities are to:
- Modify the existing Perl script that will generate the sql files to be used to create the tables in the Teradata database and generate the schema files to be used by the DataStage job.
- Develop shell scripts that will handle the file handling (csv files, xls files or xml files), running the DataStage jobs and calling the stored procedures.
- Develop shell script that will split the processing of every source systems depends on the number of split (configurable) to improve the performance.
- Develop DataStage jobs that will handle the xls and xml files. Run, Test & Modify the DataStage jobs and shell script to suit the 400+ files.
