Prepare surveys for customer, to match their needs, and access logistical or power issues at the installation site.
Utilize bench marking tests and Fiber Optic characterization to assess the capability of fiber optic networks.
Plan upgrades and optimizations windows to mitigate any interruptions to a customer’s network.
Test redundant power systems, generators, and battery storage on a regular basis. Trace electrical faults with one-line diagrams.
Worked on multiple projects and Track, measure, and setup project managements meetings.
Configuration Engineer
Tested and evaluated the latest builds of our Merlin application. Each quarter a new version was rolled out and it required thorough testing for functionality, stability, and backwards compatibility.
Supported GE Europe’s initiative to create their own version of Merlin, by reviewing their equipment specifications and advising their group. Within one year, the Belfort team had a functioning application for the European gas turbine market.
Completed Green Belt projects that increased the efficiency of Merlin. By reducing the footprint of its data tables and removed obsolete equipment to make Merlin more efficient.
Monitoring & Diagnostics Engineer
Managed a team to oversee the operating condition of gas turbines worldwide. Reviewed their assessments and investigated units with vibration or combustion issues. Historic records were used as a baseline, to perform trend analysis.
Worked with vendors to determine vibration or combustion data in a Root Cause analysis.
Worked with internal customer like GE Industrial to integrate the next generation control system (MK VI) into our M&D application. Electronic Technician
