Project Description:

This is a global application for Wal-Mart which will enable them to handle

their business in Distribution centers with logistical strategies and used across

US, UK, Mexico and many other countries around the world.

Project is designed and developed in C where SQL is embedded into it.

Database used is IBM Informix.

GLS2 is providing an end to end Application development, maintenance and

support to Wal-Mart wherein it is completely managing the day to activities in

WalMart distribution centers in a fully automated mechanism.

Also GLS2 is continuously adding new functionalities and techniques for a

smoother operation in these Distribution centers

Roles Played:

Resolve all issues reported by Client for critical situations like daily issues,

month-end, quarter end and year end activities.

Automating new and repetitive activities to reduce the manual effort.

Convince and Clarify issues with Client to facilitate faster resolution of the

same.

Create/Modify shell scripts to reduce day to day efforts and remedy ticket

count.

Expertise in Monitoring Scripts, Scheduling and Monitoring batch jobs in Linux

Environment.

Strong debugging skill in analyzing root cause and timely resolution of issues.
