Security Officer Duties:

Main Gate / Shipping & Receiving/ Over watch

Account for all equipment assigned to post. Report status to Control Center/Dispatch. (2 12 Gauge Shotguns with 6 rounds buck ammo. 4 Ballistic Vest. SOP (Special Operating Procedures) Binder. APB (All Points Bulletin) Binder.

Positioned appropriately at the assigned kiosk to observe and identify incoming traffic at all times.

Check Identification Scanner for operational purposes and immediately report any discrepancies to on duty Captain / Control Center (Dispatch).

Check all identifications and ensure a continuous flow of traffic as well as provide instructions to visitors and vendors as required.

Issue temporary vehicle placards where applicable

Activate and issue temporary identification badges where applicable.

Identify employees, visitors and contractors and process accordingly.

Stop and direct unauthorized vehicles as necessary. (Wreckers, delivery or other unauthorized vehicles). Personal vehicles attempting to enter for the purpose of sightseeing will be denied access to facilities.

When multiple lanes are open, will position to the corresponding open lane.

Deployment of GRAB Unit (Net Barrier) if need arises such as with gate runners and lower swing arm to prevent further vehicles from entering.

Post Over Watch (Mobile Truck Unit) inside Main and Shipping and Receiving gates for any suspicious activities or persons. A second layer of defense in the event of an emergency.

Direct approved vehicles and trailers to the appropriate area for parking.

Verify contact persons for visitors and direct traffic appropriately.

Check all identifications and ensure a continuous flow of traffic as well as provide instructions to visitors and vendors as required.

Stop and direct unauthorized vehicles as necessary.

On/Off Boarding Post

Activate and deactivate door alarm when opening and closing post.

Pull updated APB (All Points Bulletin) list and compare identification of on boarders to said list.

Check Identification Scanner for operational purposes and immediately report any discrepancies to on duty Captain / Control Center (Dispatch).

Check all identifications and ensure a continuous flow of incoming /outgoing personnel.

Conduct ingress/egress transactions on all non employees.

Activate and issue temporary identification badges to on boarders.

Redirect employees returning to work from medical issues to Plant Medical for examination prior to reporting to their work station.

Direct all on/off boarding personnel to the On Boarding Center for further processing.

Main Lobby / Visitors Center

Activate and deactivate door alarm when opening and closing post.

Inspect entry point facility for cleanliness and insure all assigned equipment is operational and in good repair. Brief Control Center (Dispatch)

Pull updated APB (All Points Bulletin) list and compare to identification of all visitors.

Review of Policy/Post Instruction Manual.

Ensure Temporary Visitor Identification system and Identification Scanner is fully functional and immediately reports any discrepancies to on duty Captain / Control Center (Dispatch).

Monitor Radio Traffic to insure responses are handled swiftly, with courtesy and professionalism.

Conduct random manual identification card checks.

Report non standard situations not covered Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Code to Shift Captain and Control Center (Dispatch).

Conduct a visitor briefing to all to visitors prior to the arrival of their escorts conducting the visit.

Mobile Unit Patrols (Outdoor/Indoor Assignments/ Factory Patrol)

Inspect vehicle for cleanliness, fluid levels and possible interior/exterior new damage, Check overhead, front and rear emergency lights, alert horns systems for full operational capacity. Check interior radio communication system. Notate any and all vehicle/alert system discrepancies on vehicle inspection sheet.

Report any discrepancies to on duty Captain / Control Center (Dispatch).

Account for all equipment assigned to patrol. (12 Gauge Shotgun with 6 rounds buck ammo, Safety Vest, Hearing Protection, Radar Gun, SOP (Special Operating Procedures) Binder and Medical Kit. Report status to Control Center/Dispatch.

Traffic Enforcement (Keeping in mind the following):

Moving violations exceeding the posted speed limit. Failure to yield.

Driving against the flow of traffic.

Responding to traffic accidents within assigned area of responsibility.

Relieve Officers at their assigned post as directed.

Inner Parameter/Turnstile Gate Checks.

Account for all temporary badges retrieved from gate drop boxes.

Conduct Pump house checks at assigned times.

Follow Severe Weather Report guidelines upon receipt of notification of severe weather in the area such as lightning located within five miles of the plant.

Run a one hour Traffic Radar at assigned areas and report back to Control Center /Dispatch of any warnings given or citations.

Provide escort to Law Enforcement or Armored Security ATM services as directed by the Control Center/Dispatch or On Duty Captain.

Respond to medical/fire emergencies as directed by the Control Center/Dispatch. Render CPR if necessary until relieved by the Plant Fire Department. Report back to the Control Center in accordance with HIPPA Regulations.

Factory Patrol

Conduct Patrol Scooter patrol in areas of responsibility. Assigned buildings, Mezzanine and connecting structures.

Respond to any and all security emergencies.

Respond within the required five minute period to Factory/Air force Plant #4 security alarms.

Traffic control such as moving violations exceeding the posted speed limit.

Failure to yield.
