Conducted 2D and 3D mechanical design for a power distribution center AutoCAD and SolidWorks' surface modeling and weldments tool.
Performed FEA analysis with ANSYS Workbench to ensure the system would not fail under normal stress conditions such as tensile and compressive stress, impact loading, fatigue stress, thermal stress, and fluid static pressure.
Ensured the design would remain within the respected factor of safety of 1.4. Utilized ANSYS Workbench's dimension and material optimization to reduce overall cost of production of the system by 10%
