PROFILE AND OBJECTIVES

Presently Working with ‘CMI Ships Management’ as 2nd officer/ Navigation Officer. As of now I have a total sea experience of about 33 months as OOW on Passenger Ships. A confident, strongly motivated officer experienced in working as a capable & disciplined individual as a part of a highly competent team at sea in pressurized and dynamic environments. Adaptable and enthusiastic with a proven work ethic, high quality standards and a strong sense of adventure, I am keen and motivated to progress all the way to the top. With the capability of working under pressure and dealing with adversity, I have developed excellent communication and problem-solving skills. I am very keen and determined to learn new skills and pass them on through calm and resourceful leadership. My objective is to work in an established, progressive and professionally managed organization that can provide adequate opportunities and environment to draw upon my knowledge and utilize my skills to grow within the organization. I will take an active role in ensuring a high Safety and Security Standard as outlined in the SMS. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES HELD

Sole OOW (As 2nd and 3rd Officer): Maintaining a safe navigational watch as assigned by the Master. GMDSS Operator (As 2nd Officer): Maintaining all GMDSS equipment including all required testing, documentation and Log as per SMS.

Navigation Officer (As 2nd Officer): Passage planning; Chart & Publication Corrections from NTM; Maintaining inventory of Bridge Publications, Flags, Ensigns and Shapes; Responsible for the proper working of all bridge equipment and Navigation lights at all times, Through knowledge of ECDIS and troubleshooting; Calculation of Sunrise/Sunset; Participation in Emergency duties as set out in Ship’s emergency plan, Assist Chief Officer in calculating Ship’s stability, trim and stresses prior to departure. Medical Officer (As 2nd Officer): Overlooking and maintaining Ship’s Medical Chest and Hospital along with the Ship`s Doctor/Nurse. Maintaining and Implementing high standard of Health and Hygiene and taking rounds and inspections to observe general health and hygiene of the Crew. Safety Officer (As 3rd Officer): Maintaining all the LSA & FFA equipment in working condition and in state of readiness at all times; Carrying out Tests and Inspections of all LSA & FFA equipment. Maintaining Log and documentations of safety drills and Inspections, Carrying out safety trainings and drills of crew as per SMS.

Monitor Vessel Operation including Tender Operations as outlined by SMS and MSO. Taking control at Mooring and Anchoring operations as Instructed by Master. Overlooking and Participation in Sports activities and Instructions. Being familiar to the duties and responsibilities of next ranking officer so as to be able to take over if needed as well as departing training and knowledge to cadets and ratings for their next rank. Being fully familiar with the Company Code of Conduct policies including Health, Environmental, Safety and Security policies and have assisted with the implementation and supervising of same. Being familiar to C-MENU and NS5 system.
