• Simulating deformation experienced by Elastic Capsule in a channel flow

(Guide:Prof. Dr. Arun M,, Jan’20 - May’20)

– The aim is to study the deformation of a circular capsule due to elastic and bend- ing forces experienced by it. These forces are caused by stresses applied by the viscous fluid. .

– This is further extended to simulating the behaviour of blood cell in an artery.

– Code was was developed using Immersed Boundary method for Fluid-Solid Inter- action.

• Developing a 2-D Solver for Navier-Stokes equation

(Guide:Prof. Dr. Arun M,, Aug’19)

– Objective :To develop a robust two-dimensional solver for incompressible Navier- Stokes equation using SIMPLE algorithm and validating the code for lid-driven cavity and rectangular channel flow problem. .

– Code was developed for 2-D lid cavity flow by implementing SIMPLE algorithm.

– Boundary conditions were modified and the code was validated for rectangular channel flow.

– Development of flow was studied by plotting u-H graphs at various lengths along x axis.

• Rice Hulling Machine

(Guide:Prof. Dr. Sharanappa Joladarshi,, Feb’18 - Apr’18)

– Objective :To produce edible rice that is sufficiently milled and free of husk, stones and other non-grain material. .

– A working prototype was made using Gears, Chains and Rollers.

– 3-D model of the machine was made on CATIA-V5R20.

– Report detailing the working, factors affecting efficiency, performance of the ma- chine, was written.

• Synthesis of Mechanisms MATLAB Project

(Guide: Prof. Dr. Gangadharan K.V., Oct’17 - Nov’17)

– Objective :Simulating Four bar, Slider Crank, Whitworth mechanisms on MATLAB.

– Code was written for postion, velocity and acceleration analysis of the above mentioned mechanisms using library functions and trigonometric equations. Interests and Activities
