The project was managed by KISIP whose development objective is to improve living conditions in informal settlements in selected Kenyan Counties. Prepared a screening report to determine the type and level of environmental and social assessments required, made reference to the Project PAD and followed the screening guidelines provided in the ESMF and RPF.
Undertook the EIAs and SEAs as the case was for each County in accordance with the procedures and requirements under the Environmental Management and Coordination Act, 1999 and subsidiary legislation; National Guidelines for Strategic Environmental Assessments, and the project’s Environmental and Social Management Framework
