JOB DESCRIPTION:

As an ICU NURSE:

• Responsible for the care of all patient’s admitted in ICU

• Assisting the Doctors during emergency procedures done in ICU such as central line insertion, intubation, dialysis catheter insertion, arterial line insertion etc…

• Constantly checking all the patients that are in critical condition,

• checking and monitoring all the life support equipment attach to the patient such as ventilator, cardiac monitor infusion pumps and syringe pumps etc…

• rendering a good hygiene in all the patients

• administering medicines to the patient as per doctor order,

• Maintaining barrier nursing techniques and preventing cross infection during patient contact and procedures.

• Preparing the patient for various investigations like X-ray, ECG, Ultrasound, MRI etc.

• Collecting of samples, evaluating and recording of results.

• Providing psychological support to the patient and relatives

As an EMERGENCY NURSE:

• Preparing the unit and admission of the patient to Emergency Room/ER.

• Evaluating and recording of patient's conditions.

• Assisting in various procedures like Intubation, Foley's Catheter Insertion etc.

• Preparing the patient for various investigations like X-ray,ECG,Ultrasound,MRI etc.

• Monitoring vital signs and report to the physician.

• Administering medication and treatments as prescribed by the physician.

• Collecting of samples, evaluating and recording of results.

• Providing psychological support to the patient and relatives.
