I recently just graduated on march 19th 2021 with a CGPA of 4.53 in a bachelor's of Agribusiness,but currently on haven't yet received my official transcript .
WORK EXPERIENCE
Worked at the Namanyonyi sub county and World vision Uganda for a period of 3 months during an internship training program as an Assistant trainer in 2018 (June to August). During this period of time, I participated in the training of farmers on improved agronomic practices, farmer group formation and distribution of tree seedlings to different farmers with the aim of increasing on climate smart agriculture (SDG 13). I was under the direct supervision of the Agricultural officer and the world vision project coordinator.
Worked with IFDC for 2 months during my second internship training program in 2019 (July to august) as an Assistant Monitoring and Evaluation officer. I worked under the REACH- Uganda project and was entrusted with the roles of monitoring progress of trained farmer groups and saving groups in order to report their adoption to new techniques, linking of the farmer groups to financial institutions and also to markets for the rice produced in Tororo, Butaleja and Budaka disticts. I was under the supervision of the Assistant finance officer and the Eastern regional coordinator.
Managed a poultry enterprise and other several enterprises like Agroforestry (Nursery Tree Seedling Nurturing Project) for 3 years (2018 to 2020) while at school (Busitema University). The enterprise was called Pure Yellow yolk poultry enterprise. During my work here, I was assigned the task of monitoring and evaluation, record keeping purchasing and marketing of birds that were ready for sale. I was also in charge of innovation,linking the business to possible markets in order to maximize profits.
During my final year of school,I carried out a detailed research on rice profitability in Butaleja district along the rice value chain a case study of Doho rice scheme. There were many factors affecting the rice profitability the greatest being unreliable market for the final product due to the many functional units in the agricultural value chain that are not well coordinated.
CAREER OBJECTIVES
To transform the rural agricul
tural communities from traditional agriculture to market-oriented enterprises alongside adoption of modern technologies in relation to climate smart agriculture to increase household income and livelihood improvement.
To empower a farmer in Uganda through giving the reliable market information so that he/she can reap a better profit from their agriculture investments.
