With 28 years’ experience in the Technician field I have worked with many types of equipment. Built and designed machines for specific applications from building ladder logic for Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC's to fabricating the frames for the equipment. I am a highly talented tig and mig welder. I have excellent machining skills for turning parts on a mill or lathe. Can read waves AC/DC with an oscilloscope. Use a multimeter to trouble shoot most electrical problems. Can read electrical, mechanical and pneumatic schematics.
6/2019 – 11/2020 Sanmina Corporation PCB Division San Jose, Ca Maintenance and Facilities Manager buildings – In charge of 6 buildings 300 pieces of equipment. Maintenance/facilities team and janitorial crew of 20 with 3 shifts. Equipment installations and repairs. Upgrading equipment with new software of obsolete software and parts. Audit equipment and parts, to keep unplanned down time to a minimum. Implemented new CMMS program to manage assign and date PM’s for ISO auditing and tracking.
6/2013 – 6/2019 Streamline Circuits - Summit Interconnect Santa Clara, Ca Lead Mechanic Facilities Coordinator - PM management, auditing equipment and troubleshooting with technicians. Install and facilitate all pieces of equipment. Coordinate and help with all major repairs.
6/2010 - 6/2013 Sierra Circuits, Sunnyvale, Ca. Managing Lead Lead team in day to day troubleshooting and repairs. Audited all major equipment assigned A needed parts list and implemented a min reorder system. Designed and applied a stockroom and parts facility. Implemented a WO accountability system. Improved team’s troubleshooting skills with hands on approach and understanding training.
3/2007 – 5/2010 Streamline Circuits, Santa Clara, Ca. - Shift Supervisor I lead a team of five technicians to meet deadlines of equipment installations, PM programs and facility projects. Taught troubleshooting methods for maximum up time of manufacturing equipment. Including electrical troubleshooting PLC's, heaters, motors, relays, capacitors, diodes, and circuit board traces.
9/2006 – 3/2007 Jelly belly Factory, Fairfield, Ca. - Line Mechanic Daily meetings and pass down information, write up of daily tasks. Assigned to PM and lube machines at beginning of each shift for a specific area. Transfer machines tooling for different size boxes. Calibrate scales and timing for different bag sizes. I understand Robotics programs, stepper motors and encoder calibration with pneumatic trouble shooting for the robotics in our packaging facility. 10/2003 – 9/2006 DKP Mortgage, Sacramento Ca. - Loan Officer Qualify customers and writing the loan documents for a highly respected brokerage. 6/2001 – 10/2003 Streamline Circuits, Santa Clara, Ca. - Tech III Hired to build shop from the ground up. Facility was an existing PCB facility in bad shape. Came in gutted facility. With help of a team of designers and owner, we designed layout for a flow of productivity and ergonomics. Customized many pieces of equipment for production in facility. Ran over 20 miles of network cables and assigned all IP addresses. 6/2000 – 6/2001 Gorilla Circuits Co. San Jose, Ca. - Tech III Troubleshooting equipment AC/DC rectifiers, chemical etching machines, motors, heaters, PLC's, pumps for hydraulic and fluid control. Built sparger systems for different chemical applications. Calibration of drilling machines registration +- .002 tolerances. 3/1999 – 6/2000 Dynamic Details Inc. Milpitas, Ca. - Tech II Preventive maintenance program Lead- Assigned duties to technicians, overlooked PM program. Made sure programs were done within time line. HVAC experience learned here, we did most in house AC repairs
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. [CL1] Ability to precision align belts, gears or direct coupled shafts using proper tools to specified tolerances. Answer line calls in a prompt manner and carry required tools to complete work safety and efficiently Complete scheduled jobs and work orders as assigned Assist during process upsets as needed.
