● Carried out T-burner test for measuring the response function of solid propellant and analysis the pressure v/s time result to study the combustion stability of rocket motor.

● Carried out pyrotechnic pulser test with response measurement motor to investigate the acoustic combustion stability response of solid rocket motor to acoustic pulsing. In particular effect of pulse amplitude on motor stability.

● Realize, design, development, assembly and performed pneumatic test of pressure regulator chamber, an indigenous product.

Design, Analysis and Testing

● Working on design, development, analysis, assembly and testing of dual pulse solid propulsion system and prepared design documents for rocket motor including casing, nozzle, dome etc.

● Participated in assembly and testing for proof pressure test, burst test, static and flight test of rocket motor.

● Analysis the pre and post static strain data of nozzle liner and motor casing insulation data for liner erosion calculation.

● Ballistic performance evaluation of regular geometries.

● Carried out design calculation of thermal protection system and sealing calculation of radial and face O-ring of motor.

● Carried out finite element analysis of nozzle and motor casing with grain for pressure and thermal load cases without and with loose flap using node coupling.

● Carried out finite element analysis of static and buckling analysis for thrust frame.

● Carried out finite element analysis of bolt pretension.

● Carried out finite element analysis for lateral and longitudinal acceleration of solid propulsion system of rocket motor.

● Carried out transient heat transfer analysis for calculating time taken by propellant to attain ambient temperature that is soaking analysis.

PROJECT

Experimental investigation of thermo hydraulic performance of rectangular duct by using artificial roughness on absorber plate (June 2017)

● The experiment was performed to collect heat transfer and friction factor data for forced convection flow of air in rectangular duct.

● The effect of parameters on heat transfer coefficient and friction factor are compared with the result of smooth duct under similar flow conditions. STRENGTH

● Ability to identify design modification to improve performance, reliability, manufacturability and assembly.

● Have good understanding of manufacturing tolerance, assembly issues, processing and quality assurance requirements.

● Ability to take up work independently and see them to completion and produce high quality documentation of work assigned.

● Ability to perform structural and thermal FEA analysis using ANSYS mechanical APDL and give design suggestion based on analysis results.

● Strong fundamental understanding of mechanical background and capability to learn new concept.
