Title: Senior Business Analyst (Contractor)

Responsibilities

Assisted Insight Global’s long term client Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) LLP in Tampa, FL to build out a global multi-cloud environment consisting of Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Teams/Projects Supported:

Program Cloud Network Team – Assigned as the Business Analyst to PwC’s Cloud Network team on multiple cloud network projects to develop requirements for and implement the following Cloud Tools: Azure Front Door, Azure Firewall, Palo Alto Firewall Rule Automation. This assignment entailed the completion of a considerable amount of documentation, including: High Level Design (HLD) Document, Detailed Design Document (DDD), and a Project Runbook.

Program Cloud Configuration Management Team (Puppet) – Assigned as the Business Analyst to the Program Configuration Team. Assigned tasks: developing requirements and managing the flow of configuration items for Puppet. A large part of this effort was to integrate development efforts with the Program Image Team (Packer). During the tenure with this team, also assisted the Configuration Management Project Manager with maintaining the Dev Ops board by creating features, user stories, and tasks as needed. Also, maintained the team’s documentation including the High Level Design (HLD) Document.

Program Cloud Image Management Team (Packer) – Assigned as the Business Analyst to the Program Image Team. Assigned Tasks: developing requirements and managing the flow of configuration items for Packer. A large part of this effort was to integrate development efforts with the Program Configuration Management team. During the tenure with this team, also assisted the Image Management Project Manager with maintaining the Dev Ops board by creating features, user stories, and tasks as needed.

Program Container Management Team (Hashi Corp Consul) – Assigned for 3 months as the Business Analyst to the Container Management Team. Assigned Tasks: developing requirements and managing the flow of configuration items for the Consul tool. This assignment entailed coordinating with many other aspects of the cloud platform to develop interoperability between the various components. This assignment entailed the development of a considerable amount of documentation, including: High Level Design (HLD) Document, Detailed Design Document (DDD), and a Project Runbook.

Project Accomplishments – Completed a very large volume of required project documentation. This documentation needed extensive review from many cross-functional teams. The approval of these documents was often very tedious and complex, requiring constant focus and attention to small details. During my tenure, the program moved forward to fully develop the Azure Cloud and had started the implementation of the AWS cloud environment.

Assisted Ciber’s long term client WellCare in Tampa, FL. Tasks Supported:

ID Card Improvement - In response to requested improvements with WellCare’s Medicare and Medicaid Member ID card processes, my project team has redesigned the process for creating Health Care Payer (Medicare and Medicaid) ID cards, including the rewriting of hundreds of extraction and Medicare and Medicaid validation rules, designing new process flows, and constructing a new data dictionary. Used Lean Process Improvement Methodology to reengineer WellCare’s Medicare ID Card Processes.

Extended Tracking of Letters and ID Cards – WellCare has been challenged to track Member correspondence and account for the mailings of Medicare and Medicaid letters and ID cards to members. My team redesigned the process flows for the tracking process and created Business Requirements, Functional Requirements, and supporting Business Rules to improve the overall tracking ability of Health Care Payer Member correspondence.

Responsibilities:

Senior/Lead Business Analyst for 3 major enterprise technology projects at ABB Optical, Inc., including enhancing mainframe and web systems to handle international transactions with a new Canadian customer; eliciting EDI requirements to increased business with our existing client, For Eyes, and serving as the lead functional analyst to enhance the companies ACH and credit card processing capabilities.

Each project requires the creation of a complete Business Requirements Document (BRD), including ‘As-Is’ and ‘To-Be’ process models, system interfaces, dependencies, and a stakeholder analysis. In addition, each project requires very extensive requirements elicitation throughout most every business area of the company. As of the time of my departure from ABB Optical Group, all 3 projects were completed and are currently in production. In addition to a BRD document, all requirements/user stories were documented and archived in JIRA. As the lead analyst it was my responsibility to maintain all requirements/user stories in JIRA and maintain the project backlog.

Performed the role of Product Manager until this role could be transitioned to an FTE manager. Also, frequently acted as the lead facilitator/scrum master of all the team’s daily stand-ups.

Significant Accomplishments:

1.Lead BA for the analysis and development of both new and upgraded web functionality to greatly expand ACH (Automatic Clearing House) and Credit Card payment options for ABB customers. This project involved: understanding and documenting the ACH and Credit Card approval processes, working with the web development team to write requirements for both new and expanded user interfaces for payment options, and working with the back-end developers to ensure that all data flowing between the front and legacy backend systems was exchanged and validated.

2.Lead BA for the analysis and development of both web and backend functionality to process Canadian currency transactions, hence allowing the company to open new markets opportunities throughout Canada. This project involved: understanding and documenting the flow of Canadian orders through existing ABB web properties, developing finance requirements to convert US and Canadian currency, and working with the ABB web team in developing requirements for expanding Canadian specific web order functionality.
